Where the numbers on this site come from
Every calorie and nutrient figure here comes from the Korean Food Nutrition Database of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(식품의약품안전처 식품영양성분 데이터베이스). None of the values are ours; we only multiply by how much you ate.

What we left out
- We dropped 9,021 rows of packaged food whose manufacturer field was empty or "해당없음"(not applicable). Without a company we cannot honestly say "this product's declared value".
- Where the same manufacturer filed the same product name more than once, we kept only the most recently generated row (8,887 rows merged).
- The dish file had 19,617 rows; merging rows that carry identical values left 18,904 entries (the same dish is filed once per meal-service origin).
- 2 names began with a broken character in the source file; we stripped only that leading character and left the name itself untouched.
- We did not select by popularity or frequency. The source has no such field, so inventing one would be making things up.
Why we use the file, not the open API
The same database is published on the national open-data portal as an open API (식품의약품안전처_식품영양성분DB정보), but it requires a service key. We take the Excel edition that the ministry's own K-FIND site publishes without authentication and bake it in at build time, so viewing this page makes no outbound request.
